Through a series of aggressive acquisitions and organic growth Atlantic Internet underwent a 400% revenue growth in eighteen months and was recognized by the South Florida Business Journal as the small business of the year in 1999. Unfortunately, due to market conditions and the death of one of the principles in mid 2000, Atlantic was sold to a private investor in Early 2001.
