I am currently a Co-Founder, President & CEO of Soapbox Mobile, responsible for the company's vision, market leadership and mission of helping companies improve customer communication via the mobile channel.
For the last five years I have worked directly with Fortune 500 companies to create one-to-one marketing tools and services that are easy to use and deliver a superior return on investment.
I consider myself a serial entrepreneur and I therefore try to help other individuals navigate through the amazing challenges associated with creating technology businesses. I currently serve as an advisor to a number of emerging mobile and web application companies.
Prior to founding Soapbox Mobile, I served as the Director of Product Management for ClickAction Inc. (now Yesmail), a leading e-marketing software and services company. There, I was accountable for designing and implementing the company's email relationship management products.
I have worked hand-in-hand with the marketing teams at some of the world's leading brands, including General Electric, Princess Cruises, New Line Cinema, Brooks Brothers, Nabisco, Coach and Business Week.
At Caere Inc. and Storm Technology, I was an award winning consumer hardware and software product manager, supervising the development and marketing of more than twenty high-tech products and services.
Before the Internet was a household word, I attended UCLA where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. From 1994 to 1996, I served as an official appointee to the Governor's Office for the State of California, focusing on entrepreneurial development. I got over politics quickly, but caught the entrepreneurial bug along the way.
I am always trying to get the word out about the great things we are doing at Soapbox and the amazing potential of the mobile phone as a common communication device. I have therefore been interviewed by various publications and media outlets, including Red Herring, Click Z, The San Diego Business Journal, NBC, Fox News, Box Office Magazine, The San Diego Union Tribune, UPI, Wired, Marketing Sherpa and Wireless Week.
I have also served as a featured panelist and speaker at leading industry, trade and media events including Billboard’s MECCA at CTIA, DEMexpo, The CTIA Mobile Entertainment Summit, The Games & Mobile Forum, The San Diego Direct Marketing Association, The DMA Webinar Series, The Mobile Marketing Association Forum, Dow Jones VentureWire, The MIT Enterprise Forum, UCSD Connect and the High Tech Marketing Alliance.
I enjoy living in San Diego with my wife, daughter, and soon to arrive son.
