| Born in 1932 in a small fishing village on the south west coast of Scotland not far from where Robert Burns was born, spent my formative years in a coal mining community,left school at 14 and commenced to leave my mark on the world! Went sea at age 18, spent 10 years in the Royal Navy , 4 years in the submarine service and left the merchant navy in 1974. Last employment was as an hospital engineer in Glasgow. Retiring on health grounds in 1985. Spent 15 years in North Wales living in Snowdonia national park going up and down my favourite mountain, Snowdon. Have trekked all over Scotland and North Wales,the Himalayas and the Nabib Desert in Africa. I,ve been around the world 5 times and if any marks I left were on you, please accept my sincere apologies!
