Profile
| Scott Nifong’s prolific career as a property master extends over 20 years and across more than 50 films and television series, including “Kill Bill: Vol 1” and “Kill Bill: Vol 2,” where he was listed as Scott ‘Mustang’ Nifong, as well as work in the highly popular television series The O.C. and the classic action movie “Point Break.” Scott Nifong enjoyed a brief acting stint in the 2007 television series, In Case of Emergency, and contributed his special effects efforts to “May,” a psychological horror flick from 2002. Scott Nifong’s specialty property master work is a classic example of the many overlooked, yet integral parts of film production. A property master must have both exceptional organizational skills and a strong artistic eye because they are forced to handle all the props needed in film or television production. This means the property master has to go out and get the props, either by purchasing or creating them, and then make sure they are used properly in development of the film. This means that when you see weapons, food, or pretty much any prop in a movie, it probably falls under the jurisdiction of the property master, who works closely with the director to ensure an aesthetically coherent product reaches the audience. In addition to serving over two decades in the film industry, Scott Nifong has contributed to numerous charities, including Habitat for Humanity, Battered Women’s Shelters, March of Dimes, and Children's Hospital. Scott Nifong’s charity work extends into his local community, where he coaches Little League Baseball and Flag Football. Despite his rigorous work and community outreach schedule, Scott Nifong has been a passionate surfer for over 30 years, and also dabbles in snowboarding; keeping an active lifestyle that parallels his highly productive professional career. Scott Nifong is a member of IATSE, Local 44, and the Screen Actors Guild.
