? Profile

Ala’a Kababji pursued a global education in order to accomplish his engineering dreams. Now in the final stages of earning his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Florida, Ala’a Kababji is ready to put the finishing touches on an academic career that is nothing short of astonishing.

Ala’a Kababji published several important engineering works, including “A-Sic and Pd Modified Vanadium Phosphorus Oxide Catalysts for the Partial Oxidation of N-Butane to Maleic Anhydride,” which he worked on with several other engineering specialists. Ala’a Kababji also created, “Thermo Catalytic Hydrogen Production via Oxygen-Free Methane Aromatization,” which gathered its funding from the Department of Energy. Kababji even earned NASA funding with his dissertation, “Cobalt Catalysts for Use in the Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis.”

Ala’a Kababji received his M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Florida in 2004, serving as a research assistant while he studied. Kababji’s 2004 graduate thesis received funding from the Office of Naval Research and helped him skyrocket to prominence in his school’s field of study.
While working as a research assistant, Kababji also served as a University of South Florida Teaching Assistant, instructing several high level courses, including Unit Operations Labs I & II, Automated Process Control, and Foundations of Engineering.

For his years of dedicated academic efforts in South Florida, Kababji received the Graduate College Fellowship at the University in 2003, and the Research Assistantship in 2004. Kababji is also a member of the prestigious Omega Chi Epsilon Honor Society for Chemical Engineers.

Kababji has valuable experience outside of the academic world, working as an Engineering Trainee for Jordan-based Al-Hikma Pharmaceutical in 2000. Kababji also conducted performance analysis and propellant testing for Halkey Roberts Inc. in 2007.
