While in the Air Force, Mr. Petroci was deployed to Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm as an explosive detection specialist. He returned to the US and his job at Sherwin Williams in 1991, where he remained until accepting a position with Benjamin Moore & Company in 1998. From 1998 to 2002, John J. Petroci was the Atlantic and Northeast district sales manager at Benjamin Moore & Company. Under Mr. Petroci’s guidance, his district saw a cumulative 14.8% growth over the 5 years he was in charge. John J. Petroci’s next position was at the Atlantic Envelope Company in Philadelphia, where he acted as regional sales manager for the East Coast territory. As regional sales manager, Mr. Petroci was in charge of a staff of 9 with a $58 million dollar sales base. Though he was successful at the Atlantic Envelope Company, John J. Petroci’s true calling has always been the paint and protective coatings industry. So in 2005, after working for Atlantic Envelope for nearly two years, John J. Petroci accepted a position as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Dumond Chemicals in New York, NY. Since accepting the position three years ago, Mr. Petroci has helped the company welcome tremendous growth. He has increased sales every year since signing on, and has helped the company rebrand itself and introduce new and innovative product lines to the Retail, Commercial, and Industrial marketplace. John J. Petroci currently belongs to several professional societies, including the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America, The Society for Protective Coatings, and The American Institute of Architects.
