| Christopher Asandra graduated with honors from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. While working toward his degree, Asandra was also given recognition for the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine award of excellence. During his six-year course at the University, Asandra was able to accomplish and earn his B.A and his M.D through a rigorous joint program. While in college, he was actively involved in the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity as a Rush Chair. After completing medical school, Asandra went on to the University of Illinois at Chicago for his residency. While completing his residency, Asandra worked for various medical centers, trauma centers and community hospitals, all within the Chicago area. He is currently employed at Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Advocate Illinois Masonic, St. Francis Hospital, and Franklin Hospital, all located in the Illinois and Wisconsin areas. Dr. Christopher Asandra recently founded an organization called the Emergency Medicine Innovations LLC, where he is able to employ emergency medical physicians through locum opportunities. A locum doctor is someone who works in the place of the regular doctor when that doctor is absent. Asandra was able to provide ER’s throughout Wisconsin and Illinois with ER physicians. His primary responsibilities consisted of recruitment and all other duties of public relations. In Christopher’s personal time, he can be found heavily involved in mixed martial arts and boxing, since he is a certified self-defense and Thai boxing instructor. He is also working on perfecting the art of being a concert level jazz pianist.
