| Mr. Waldemar Jezler is an investment banker from Brazil, currently the President of Libra Capital LLC. Jezler attended the Escola Politécnica of the University of São Paulo from the years 1971 to 1975, graduating with a degree in Civil Engineering. After the Politécnica, Jezler worked as a management consultant with Booz Allen and Hamilton, which provided him with great preparation for his future business school attendance. Jezler attended school in Boston at Harvard Business School where he studied from the years 1977 to 1979 to earn his MBA while at the same time proving active in campus life—he was a member of several clubs and societies at Harvard, including the Ibero American Club. Upon graduation from Harvard he returned to Brazil and held several jobs involved with strategic planning, new business development and information technology with local and international companies. Eventually, Jezler settled into a position with the Bank of America Representative Office in São Paulo. Jezler joined the company as Assistant Vice President and was later promoted to Vice President. In 1988 he decided to leave to return to America, specifically New York City to work as the Vice President of the First National Bank of Chicago. In about a year, Waldemar Jezler accomplished enough to earn the bank a trading profit of over $5 million. This was done by trading Brazilian debt and structuring debt conversion transactions (this was shortly after the Latin American debt crisis in the 1980s). By May of 1989, Jezler had been awarded a sizable bonus which he used to leave First Chicago and found his own company. Jezler went on to found Libra Capital LLC, which he still runs today. Libra Capital is concerned with the structuring and trading of financial instruments in the Brazilian fixed Income market. Currently, their focus is on investments that are both high quality and high yielding, but Jezler has been trading or structuring debt transactions in every asset class since the debt crisis. In his spare time, Jezler enjoys yoga and athletics such as tennis, squash, and skiing.
