As the Co-Chairman and Senior Portfolio Manager of Sands Brothers Asset Management, Martin Sands provides investment management and advisory services to institutional and individual investors across the globe.
Recently, Martin Sands has focused on asset management and real estate investing. In 2001, Martin Sands was responsible for raising a large “fund of funds” known as Select Access LLC. Using Mr. Martin Sands has been involved with a number of exciting investments including the purchase of 500,000 square feet of Class A commercial real estate and late stage venture capital investments in a number of worthwhile emerging companies.
Martin Sands started his work in the investment management industry as an employee of Shearson American Express, Inc. He next took a position with New York City-based investment bank Oppenheimer & Co. After Oppenheimer & Co., Martin Sands acquired experience in venture capital funding by working at the investment bank Laidlaw, Adams, and Peck. Additionally, Martin Sands played an important role in facilitating the 1988 opening of the New York City office of Rodman & Renshaw, a large investment bank well known for its work in the biotechnology sector.
Martin Sands lives and works in Greenwich, Connecticut. He can also frequently be found working from the New York City offices of Sands Brothers Asset Management.
