Jorge Leon Chalela has personally handled nearly 200 jury trials, most of which involved the most serious classes of charges: homicides, firearm offenses, robberies, rapes, kidnappings, aggravated batteries and assaults, manslaughter, and drug distributions and conspiracies. Mr. Chalela is experienced with forensic evidence, having been involved with multiple cases involving DNA, firearm ballistics, fingerprints, witness identification procedures, and sexual battery exams. Mr. Chalela has also handled all the classes of sentence enhancements, including Habitualization, Career Criminal, Prison Release Re-offender, Mandatory Minimums, and 10-20-Life gun laws.
