| Electrician and energy expert Steven King brings a long and successful track record to his work as Operations Technician at PowerSouth Energy Cooperative in Andalusia, Alabama. Handling numerous aspects of utility operations, both inside and outside the building, Timothy Steven King possesses essential knowledge in instrumentation, controls, and electrical (IC&E) systems and implements his rigorous training on a regular basis. Since December 2004, Timothy Steven King has served PowerSouth Energy Cooperative in a variety of ways and has proven indispensable in the start-up, operation, and shut-down of different types of power plants, including 2-on-1 and 1-on-3 plants with exhaust diverters, combustion steam turbine cogeneration plants, hydroelectric dams, and more. Timothy Steven King also performs field maintenance and conducts thorough analyses of various IC&E issues. From 1999 to 2001, Timothy Steven King pursued an apprenticeship in industrial electricity and instrumentation through the National Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (NJATC) in Montgomery, Alabama. Working under the stewardship of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) local 443, Timothy Steven King learned the fundamentals of his practice in the classroom and gained necessary experience in the field. At the end of his training, Timothy Steven King earned membership with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and later won additional certification from The International Society of Automation (ISA). Timothy Steven King holds membership with the IBEW Local 2251 union. Timothy Steven King became interested in the electrical profession while a graduate student at Troy University in Dothan, Alabama. Diversifying with his Master’s studies in human resource management, Timothy Steven King switched gears completely and entered his current field with passion and enthusiasm. Prior to Troy University, Timothy Steven King attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in International Marketing. In addition, Timothy Steven King holds an Associate of Science degree in Business and Engineering from Lurleen B. Wallace Community College in Andalusia, Alabama.
