Casey Clampett De Lima’s affinity for news journalism developed during her dedicated years in both print and television news industries. A resident of the San Diego area, Casey Clampett De Lima first flexed her journalistic voice as editor-in-chief of her high school newspaper. As principle editor, she was responsible for everything from reporting and researching stories to writing and editing the actual copy. A graduate of UCLA, Casey Clampett De Lima worked as a staff reporter at her university's newspaper for which she wrote weekly articles on a variety of topics, ranging from breast cancer awareness to local fire coverage. Her interest in politics led her to cover the newspaper’s political beat as well. While in school, Casey Clampett De Lima worked as a broadcast assistant intern for two San Diego-based television shows: Wealth TV’s Boomer Show and FOX’s San Diego Living. Casey Clampett De Lima's tasks ranged from assisting guests and audience members on the Boomer Show to producing segments and handling public relations for the San Diego Living show. Upon graduating, Casey Clampett De Lima's pursuit of the written word and ability to speak both English and Spanish fluently led her overseas to write for the Argentine entertainment magazine Haciendo Cine based in Buenos Aires. One of her projects while with the magazine was to translate a cinematic production guide from Spanish to English for mass distribution in the United Kingdom. Casey Clampett De Lima also recently served as a television broadcast news writing intern with Univision Communications in San Diego where she was responsible for translating Associated Press wires from English to Spanish, producing news segments, recording corresponding footage, and assisting Univision's head evening anchor Claudia Rodriguez.
