Patrice Mitsos leverages more than 20 years of experience in strategic planning, branding, marketing communications, integrated direct marketing, campaign analysis and team building as a global strategic marketing executive in her current role as a VP, Marketing for non-profit organization Gift of Health & Wellness (501c3). In this leadership capacity, Patrice Mitsos planned branding and marketing strategies for the education-based health initiative entitled “Good For You!”, a program focused on encouraging greater community involvement to combat childhood obesity and promote a healthy lifestyle among the youth market. The pilot program and its ultimate roll-out centered on educating grade school-aged children and their parents on sustainable living and its many rewards. In developing the “Good For You!” campaign, Patrice Mitsos ultimately rebranded the entire non-profit organization, developing initiatives targeting the youth market that teach the benefits of pursuing a healthy lifestyle through organic gardening, healthy cooking and eating, physical activity and tracking one’s progress in achieving better health. She also incorporated a “healthy lunchbox” program for school cafeterias. In addition, Patrice Mitsos employed innovative techniques to foster motivation and program retention among student study participants, resulting in very high engagement among students and their family members. Techniques included requirements to track progress of cooking, physical activity, gardening, and resulting physical outcomes utilizing several social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter and blogging on the GOHW site. Student engagement and dedication to program requirements were reinforced through communication with and support of peers and parents.
Previously, Patrice Mitsos served as a marketing consultant for a diverse group of Fortune 500 companies, including Verizon Wireless, HSBC and Alberto Culver. Specifically, her consultancy role with Verizon Wireless involved managing the integration of research, marketing and sales activities in order to develop targeted marketing, communication and promotional strategies. In this role, she introduced the use of social media campaigns to foster greater communication and reinforce relationships between sales reps and their customers. In addition, Patrice Mitsos continued making significant, ongoing recommendations for future marketing activities and sales strategies throughout her tenure.
Through her work with HSBC, a global leader in the banking and financial services industry, Patrice Mitsos provided marketing consultation to several departments, including the Credit Policy & Lending and Risk groups, in the areas of consumer segmentation, communications and expanding opportunities connected to different payment methods. Patrice Mitsos' efforts facilitated ongoing customer relationship management and customer retention by marketing through multiple channels, optimizing lead management processes and converting leads into customers.
As a Marketing Consultant for one of the leading manufacturers and marketers of personal care and household brands, Alberto Culver, Patrice Mitsos focused on providing recommendations for future marketing, branding, and sales activities, successfully accomplished through analyzing a wide variety of research and sales data. Based on her analysis of the data, she Illustrated findings regarding brand attitudes, market segmentation, and areas for sales potential through development and delivery of PowerPoint presentations. Prior to undertaking her position as Marketing Consultant, Patrice Mitsos served as Group Manager for Marketing within the BioScience Division at Baxter Healthcare Corporation, a global leader in health care based in Deerfield, Illinois. During her tenure, Patrice Mitsos independently designed and implemented Baxter’s first integrated CRM Program targeted to the Hemophilia A marketplace. Focused on Baxter's continued growth and success in building their brands and customer base, Patrice Mitsos architected best-in-class integrated, measurable marketing strategies and communications created to augment brand awareness for Advate rAHF-PFM and other Baxter therapies, widen consumer and patient loyalty, and acquire new patients. Patrice Mitsos deployed a wide variety of innovative strategies and tactics, spearheading Baxter's first use of personalized communications directed to target audiences.
Patrice Mitsos' professional background also includes leadership positions in Account Management and Data Technology Services departments within the agencies of DraftFCB in Chicago, Illinois; Digitas, Inc. in Boston, Massachusetts; and APAC Customer Services, Inc. in Deerfield, Illinois. Some of the key clients she served in these roles include Takeda, Lilly, Sanofis-Aventis, AT&T, IBM, and Motorola, Inc. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in French, with minors in Marketing and Math, from the University of Illinois at Urbana, Patrice Mitsos matriculated at the University of Texas at Austin, where she received her Master of Arts in Advertising, with a minor in Business Administration. She also obtained certificates in French Literature, History and Linguistics from l'Universite Catholique de l'Ouest, in Angers, France, and the University of Paris, The Sorbonne (Paris IV).
In addition to her professional endeavors in the marketing field, Patrice Mitsos is committed to philanthropic benevolence. Patrice Mitsos generously contributes to numerous charitable organizations, including the ASPCA, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Smile Train, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the Art Institute of Chicago. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, writing, studying filmmaking and screenwriting, visiting museums, singing, watching films, writing film reviews online and reading.
