Dr. Peter Killcommons serves as the founder and CEO of San Francisco-based Medweb, a medical technology firm he established 18 years ago. As an executive manager for Medweb, Dr. Peter Killcommons oversees the day-to-day operations of the company and runs Medweb’s radiology, telemedicine, disaster relief, and philanthropy divisions. Prior to launching his career, Dr. Peter Killcommons attended New York Medical College and the City College of New York Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, a competitive fast-track program designed to train exceptional medical doctors through an accelerated program. In addition to graduating cum laude from Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, Dr. Peter Killcommons also participated in student government and served as the vice president of student affairs. Since launching Medweb in February 1992, Dr. Peter Killcommons has built the company into a leading provider of web-enabled and secure telemedicine, teleradiology, and RIS/PACS systems. Dr. Peter Killcommons and his team have engineered over 1,000 installations worldwide, including for military forces active in conflict areas. Through Medweb, Dr. Peter Killcommons has distributed telemedicine platforms and Tele-Clinics to medical offices in remote areas of Malaysia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the island of Tristan da Cunha in the South Atlantic. Dr. Peter Killcommons and his staff at Medweb also offer consulting services in the fields of emergency management, disaster response, public health, school and school district-based preparedness, satellite communications, and alternative/renewable energy solutions. Having worked in the technology medical field for nearly two decades, Peter Killcommons and the Medweb team have patented a number of devices for use in medical informatics, medical imaging, and telemedicine.
