Andrew Pack, a fundraising professional and active philanthropist, began working towards bettering the lives of children in 1996, and accepted the role of Development Coordinator in 1998 with Variety - The Children’s Charity of Greater Pennsylvania.
Two years after beginning with Variety, Andrew Pack received a promotion to the position of Executive Director, a role that required the supervision of all aspects of the charity’s various programs and fundraisers. During his tenure with the Philadelphia-based organization, he raised the charity’s annual revenue from $1.5 million to $4.5 million through procuring foundation and government grants as well as organizing many successful fundraisers. In addition to securing further funds for Variety, Andrew Pack and his colleagues planned and realized several new programs: a citywide after-school program for children with disabilities, a wheelchair sports program at the Variety Club Camp, and the Variety Family Resource Center for children with autism spectrum disorders and their families.
In addition to his work for Variety, Andrew Pack volunteers with a local elementary school and previously acted as Vice Chair of the Southeast Philadelphia Collaborative, a group of organizations united in their efforts to improve the social and educational environments for children aged 12-18. With an interest in both children’s current lives and their futures, Andrew Pack also supports the Philadelphia Youth Network (PYN), an organization that strives to prepare children and adolescents for successful careers as adults.
Andrew Pack holds a Bachelor’s degree from LaSalle University and a Certificate in Principals of Fundraising from Villanova University. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and lives with his wife in Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Business Journal named Andrew Pack as one of their Top 40 Under 40 professionals in 2004 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the community. In his spare time, Andrew Pack enjoys traveling and supporting his local animal shelter.
