Outside of his entrepreneurial pursuits, Robert Nolan displays a myriad of diverse and special interests. A certified flight instructor, test commercial pilot, and commercial commercial pilot, Robert Nolan designs, constructs, and flies "Powered Parafoils" for the Department of Defense in a variety of capacities. Further utilizing his flying abilities, Nolan was formerly a flight performer in the US Navy's Air Show at Naval Air Station JRB Willow Grove in Pennsylvania.
Recognized for his years of service to the United States, Robert Nolan received a letter of appreciation from President George Bush on July 15, 1999. Congressman Newt Gingrich in Washington, D.C. also honored Nolan as the “Sailor of the Year” in 1988 for the nation’s flagship, aircraft carrier USS America, CV-66.
