Bruce Horan holds an M.F.A. from the Pratt Institute in New York City. Bruce Horan graduated with distinction in 2010, receiving the Pratt Circle Award of academic excellence. He also participated in Pratt's Graduate Assistantship program and learned the essential aspects of managing a fine arts gallery and studio. Among other duties, Bruce Horan coordinated studio scheduling and maintenance, including the management of studio facilities, lighting, and a multitude of art show installations.
Between his first and second years at Pratt, Bruce Horan completed a summer internship under master printer Maurice Sanchez at New York City’s Derrière L’Étoile Studios. Bruce Horan received training in offset lithography and mono-print client printing projects. Bruce Horan also assisted with the documentation and curator-ship of Derriere L’Etoile’s fine art collections. In 2010, Bruce Horan held his graduate solo exhibition, Quantus, at Pratt’s Steuben Galleries.
At present, Bruce Horan lives in Brooklyn, New York, where he continues to pursue his passion for printmaking and graphic design. He is proficient in intaglio, silkscreen printing, lithography, illustration, Adobe Creative Suite, Corel Graphics Suite, and AutoCAD. Bruce Horan remains a devoted member of the Pratt Alumni Association.
