Fred Teitman completed his post-secondary education at Pennsylvania State University in University Park. Honored with placement on the dean’s list, Fred Teitman graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations, and Minors in Sociology and Information Systems and Statistical Analysis. The same year, Fred Teitman joined the staff at General Electric Company (GE) and began GE’s Information Management Leadership Program, a two-year program that combines rotating job assignments with classroom learning. As a participant, Fred Teitman engaged in four 6-month long roles designed to cultivate his leadership and information technology skills. Fred Teitman served GE in a number of roles that focused on supply chain and engineering digitization, process reengineering and productivity improvements. After completing the program in 2003, Fred Teitman used his education and job skills to obtain employment at PayPal, Inc., the subsidiary of eBay, Inc., as a Process Engineering Leader. In this position, Fred Teitman increased company productivity by 12 percent through a new development methodology that reduced product time-to-market by 50 percent. Additionally, Fred Teitman helped improve engineering capacity by improving talent screening and new hire ramp-up. Furthermore, Fred Teitman developed a Skunk Works program that afforded PayPal the opportunity to drive internal innovation, and he implemented PayPal’s first Enterprise Reporting Dashboard. Because of his innovative thinking and diligence, Fred Teitman earned a promotion within his first eight months with the company. In 2005, Fred Teitman returned to GE as a Remanufacturing Leader for the Transportation Division. In this role, Fred Teitman continued saving the company time and money by reducing the repair and return cycle and improving inventory turns by 15 percent. In 2006, Fred Teitman transferred to Sales and Operations Planning, where he served as PSI Commodity Leader. Among many responsibilities, Fred Teitman led IT and functional teams in the development and implementation of a critical business application that supports all business forecasting, demand consolidation and material/labor capacity planning. This work has been critical in ensuring a balance between commercial, financial, and operational activities needed to achieve growth objectives. Currently, Fred Teitman continues to serve GE as a Commercial Operations Manager within GE Mining, where he acts as the main liaison for customers, in addition to holding responsibility for internal capacity planning and product delivery. In his free time, Fred Teitman enjoys being outdoors, playing soccer, fishing, and hiking.
