Adam L. Alpers, DO is the Owner of Prompt Primary Care Of Ocala in Ocala,Florida.
He is a graduate of Arcadia University, Glenside, Pennsylvania and a graduate of
Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa Where he received his degree in
Osteopathic Medicine.
While in medical school he was granted an undergraduate fellowship in Osteopathic
Manipulative Medicine where he was awarded the "Ram's Head Award" for
outstanding performance in his field.
He performed his internship and residency in Family medicine
at Florida Hospital East Orlando, Orlando, Florida.
He is certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Medicine and has re-certified twice.
Dr. Alpers has received a U.S. patent for his Nostril Dilator Device called "SnorEnd"
which is designed to decrease snoring and congestion.
Dr. Alpers is a Flight Surgeon in the United States Air Force Reserve and has
earned the rank of Lt.Colonel. He was chosen to be the Air Force Liason to the
U.S Ambassador to Moldova during Medceur 2007. He has trained hundreds of medical providers
for mass casualty preparedness throughout his tenure with the Air Force Reserves.
He has authored his first book entitled "The Arcadian Matrix" and is currently working on
publication.
Dr. Alpers has given numerous lectures to medical professionals and as a certified Risk
Manager has been instrumental in creating an awareness to reducing physician disruptive
behavior in the workplace teaching Risk Management classes at Brevard County
Community College.
Currently a permanent preceptor for Both Osteopathic and Physician Assistant students,
Dr. Alpers trains over 24 students yearly at his office.
Dr. Alpers practices Family Medicine daily in his active practice
and has both a traditional and alternative style to approaching patient care.
He has developed his "Access to Care" Program enabling patients without health insurance
a cost effective solution to gaining access to the medical care they need without the high
expense associated with that care.
