I just recently bought a suit off the rack from Steve Samson. I can generally wear 44 tall right off the rack, and have done this before from major department stores. Steve took a look at the suit and made a few alterations to the shoulders and pants that took the suit from looking good to "tailored". It looks and feels awesome, Thanks Steve!
