For the most fantastic hot wings you'll ever eat...head to Beechies! I've eaten wings all around the country and NONE compare to the succulent zing of these meaty monsters. I gladly make the 6 hour round trip from Columbus to Pittsburgh, at least twice a month, just to indulge in these savory beauties. To put them into perspective, Beechies' wings make Quaker Steak and BW3s look and taste like chicken bones in ketchup. Aside from the wings, the entire menu of roadhouse cuisine is phenomenal. Everything is home cooked and made with a touch of south western PA flare. You'll find everything from kielbasa and sauerkraut to beautifully baked fish. (I might also add that the beef stew they serve on fridays is truly the best in the 'burgh). Beechies is the best kept local secret in PA. My advice: 1. don't let the outward appearance of this small town bar & grill deter you from enjoying the greatest food your palate will ever experience 2. don't tell the locals I sent you (I may not be allowed back for spoiling the secret :) P.S. Feel free to bring the kiddies...I don't know a family in town who doesn't dine at Beechies regularly.
